The words of the cannon

FRENMeaning
RemanenceRemnantThe material return of a being, place or event from an older stratum. Real: a remnant tree gives wood — eleven professions and the whole market circulate the remains of older worlds. Not everything is one (ordinary wolves exist).
StrateStratumA world/age buried under the present. Never a visitable dimension — it surfaces in fragments.
AnchoringAnchorWhat a Runegate actually is: it holds the present world above its strata and links it. An extinguished Anchor is scenery, and stays scenery.
Seuil PremierFirst ThresholdLumenfall's gate — older than the city, older than the kingdom. Nobody built it: it is itself a Remnant of the Premier Corps, and the old kingdom only imitated it without understanding.
Grand AgreementGreat AccordThe royal ritual meant to tune every gate at the same instant, for centuries.
Grand JudgmentGreat StillnessThe catastrophe born of the Accord's interruption: the funeral froze mid-procession, the canal ran dry, the Ver's clock counts and never strikes, gates went dark, the kingdom fell, the Remnants began to rise.
Muette timeMute HourThe exact hour that never struck. (No calendar mechanics ride this — the hour is a story object only.) In the completion arc: the hour ESCAPED, and circles the world as the storm that never leaves.
RecalledRecalledA person the Anchors bring back after a fall. The player, and a rare few NPCs. A Recall CAN fail for good — off-screen, in the story only, never as a number. Badly-closed Recalls are one origin of the undead.
EchoEchoA minor, unstable manifestation — the practical term for a boss's returns after its first narrative defeat (bosses recur; the world state does not change).
SutureSutureWhere an old stratum breaches the present: a fault, marsh, ruin, vein, mirror, canal.
The MarginThe MarginThe interval between strata. PARKED for v1 — no zone shows it yet.
ClarityClarityThe religious name for the present's force of coherence; priests and paladins read it differently.
